With 140+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, ocean sunfish (mola mola), octopuses, sea turtles and sperm whales - Laja de Dentro offers some of Al Hoceima's richest reef diving. Water ranges 16-23°C, warmest July, August, September.
Laja de Dentro offers a solid Mediterranean dive near Al Hoceima. It's a proper coral reef, not just rocks, which is always a bonus. While we haven't seen any standout species listed yet, we'd expect to find typical Mediterranean reef dwellers like morays tucked into crevices and maybe some groupers patrolling the edges. It’s a good choice for divers looking for a straightforward reef dive in the area.
