With 189+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, mobula rays (devil rays), ocean sunfish (mola mola), octopuses and sea turtles - Cala Higuera offers some of Cabo de Palos's richest diving. Water ranges 15-28°C, warmest July, August, September.
Cala Higuera offers a straightforward dive, good for shaking off the rust or for those new to the area. You'll find a series of rocky shelves and small swim-throughs, generally in calm conditions. Look for octopus tucked into crevices and schools of damselfish flitting amongst the rocks. It’s a comfortable, easygoing dive.
