With 189+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, mobula rays (devil rays), ocean sunfish (mola mola), octopuses and sea turtles - Carbonero offers some of Cabo de Palos's richest reef diving. Water ranges 15-28°C, warmest July, August, September.
Carbonero offers a gentle dive, good for shaking off the rust or for newer divers. We found the seabed mostly rocky, with patches of seagrass where octopus often hide. Look closely for nudibranchs on the smaller rocks. It's a relaxed spot for a quiet afternoon underwater.
