HJ-2 - Cabo de Palos

The HJ-2, a former patrol boat, rests upright in about 35 meters of water off Cabo de Palos, sunk intentionally back in 1989. We find this wreck a genuinely enjoyable dive for its intact structure and the way the light filters through the superstructure. You can swim through the bridge and explore some of the accessible compartments, which always makes for an engaging dive. Keep an eye out for resident groupers peering from shadowy corners and schools of damselfish flitting over the decks; the wreck has become a proper artificial reef. It's a solid choice for experienced divers comfortable at depth, offering a satisfying wreck experience without being overly challenging.
