S.S. STANFIELD /NITZA - Cabo de Palos

Dropping onto the S.S. Stanfield, or Nitza as some call her, is a proper dive, no doubt about it. She sits upright at 39 meters, offering a decent profile for experienced wreck divers. You’ll fin through the superstructure, watching for dusky groupers lurking in the shadows and the occasional sunfish gliding past in the blue. The wreck is well-colonised with bright anemones and sponges, providing a striking contrast to the steel. We'd suggest picking a day with minimal current; it can be a bit of a workout otherwise, but the rewards are there for those who know their way around a deep wreck.
