VENUS - Cabo de Palos

The Venus, a schooner, lies upright at 48 metres, making it a good one for advanced divers comfortable with depth. We find the main deck reasonably intact, often with schools of barracuda hanging just off the bow, quite a sight as you descend. Inside, the holds are open, revealing machinery and the general structure, all heavily encrusted with sponges and some gorgonians. Keep an eye out for conger eels peering from dark crevices; they’re pretty common here. It's a proper wreck dive without being overly challenging inside, a solid pick for those looking to explore Mediterranean history.
