Why dive here
With 76+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, octopuses, sea turtles, sperm whales and cuttlefish - Balito Deep offers some of Canary Islands's richest diving. Water ranges 20-24°C, warmest August, September, October.
Balito Deep is a straightforward dive, perfect for those looking to get some bottom time without too much fuss. We've found the rocky reef provides good shelter, making it a reliable spot when conditions elsewhere are a bit choppy. Expect to see some barracuda schooling off the main wall and a decent number of morays tucked into the crevices. It’s a solid intermediate dive, nothing too taxing, but still offers enough to hold your interest for 40 minutes or so.
