With 76+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, octopuses, sea turtles, sperm whales and cuttlefish - La Catedral offers some of Canary Islands's richest cave diving. Water ranges 20-24°C, warmest August, September, October.
La Catedral, off the Canaries, is a cavern dive with a dramatic entry into a large, airy space. Sunlight streams through openings, illuminating the volcanic rock formations. It's a straightforward cavern, mostly open to the surface, making it suitable for intermediate divers comfortable with overhead environments. We've found it a good spot for some moody wide-angle photography.
