SAN JUAN NO.2

Roque de Gando
Why dive here
With 76+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, octopuses, sea turtles, sperm whales and cuttlefish - SAN JUAN NO.2 offers some of Canary Islands's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 20-24°C, warmest August, September, October.
The San Juan No.2 is a shallow wreck, resting at just 5 metres, making it an ideal spot for newer divers or for a relaxed second dive. What's left of the hull has become home to a good number of local fish, often schooling around the broken superstructure. We've seen moray eels peeking from crevices and the occasional cuttlefish camouflaged against the metal. It’s a straightforward dive, perfect for getting comfortable around a wreck without deep water stress.
