Boia dels Ulls de Llop - Medes Islands

Boia dels Ulls de Llop is a site we always make time for when we’re in the Medes Islands. It’s got a bit of everything, making it a proper standout. We love dropping down into those swim-throughs, the light filtering in from above is just something else, creating these shifting patterns on the walls. Keep an eye out for the corbs tucked into the crevices; they’re surprisingly shy here. This spot is fantastic for a relaxed drift, letting the gentle current carry you past the bushy coral, which is a rare sight for the Med. We’ve had some cracking encounters with morays peering out from their holes and even spotted stout bobtail squids scooting across the sand if you’re patient and look closely. It’s ideal for divers who enjoy exploring intricate rock formations and don’t mind a slower pace to really take everything in. Our best tip for Boia dels Ulls de Llop? Go mid-morning. The sun angle really plays with the light in the caverns then, and you’ll often find less boat traffic than later in the day.
