GRASM - CEFERAS Centre de plongée - Medes Islands

The Medes Islands have some surprisingly punchy diving, and GRASM, also known as CEFERAS, gives you a real taste of what makes this protected area special. We love how the topography here really makes you feel like you're exploring; it’s not just a flat reef. You'll find yourself navigating through some dramatic rock formations, often with schools of barracuda circling overhead, their silver scales catching the light in mesmerising flashes. Our favourite time to dive GRASM is early morning, before the boat traffic really picks up, when the light penetrates the water at an angle that just highlights the texture of the rock walls. Keep an eye out for the smaller stuff too, especially the butterfly blennies darting in and out of crevices. We’ve spotted seahorses here a few times, tucked away in the seagrass, so go slow and really look. The current can be noticeable, particularly around the corners, so it’s best for divers who are comfortable with drift and good buoyancy. If you’re a fan of Mediterranean wall diving with a bit of a thrill, this site is a solid pick.
