Immersion Plongée - Medes Islands

Immersion Plongée. The name alone hints at something deep, doesn't it? And it delivers. This site, tucked into the Medes Islands, is one of our favourites for a reason. Drop down and you’re immediately enveloped in a busy, buzzing world. We love the sheer density of fish here. Think schools of damselfish so thick they shimmer like a curtain, constantly parting and re-forming as you swim through them. Keep an eye on the sand patches too. We've often spotted razorback wrasse meticulously sifting through the grains, completely unfazed by divers. You’ll also find shore feather duster worms waving their delicate plumes from every crevice. Our top tip? Go early. The site can get busy, but if you’re one of the first boats out, you get to experience Immersion Plongée at its most tranquil, with the morning light filtering down through the schools of fish, making the whole place glow. It’s an easy, rewarding dive, perfect for photographers or anyone who just wants to soak in the Mediterranean’s vibrant marine life.
