Kenavo - Medes Islands

Kenavo, in the Medes Islands, is a site we’ve always had a soft spot for. It’s not about grand pelagics here, though a distant whale sighting isn’t impossible. We love Kenavo for its intimate Mediterranean feel, the way the light filters through the *Posidonia oceanica* meadows, creating this incredible emerald glow. Descend into the deeper sections, and you’ll often find grey dolphins cruising by, unhurried, just watching you watch them. The real magic, for us, is in the smaller details: the way common brittlestars cling to the rock faces, or spotting one of those quirky Alder's necklace shells tucked into a crevice. It’s a site that rewards patience, where slowing down allows you to really observe the life around you. We'd suggest going on a calmer day; the visibility really pops, and you can spend more time appreciating the subtle movements of the hooded shrimp. It’s a gentle dive, perfect for photographers or anyone who prefers a tranquil exploration over a thrill ride.
