Tombant de David - Medes Islands

Tombant de David is a truly excellent dive, easily one of our top picks in the Medes Islands. The wall here is just gorgeous, plunging down into the depths, absolutely covered in fan coral and those striking red gorgonians. We love dropping down past the dense schools of snapper and barracuda that hang out in the blue, then taking our time to explore the nooks and crannies of the wall itself. Keep an eye out for the deeper sections, where you might spot flashes of black coral, or even a sleepy conger eel tucked into a crevice. The nudibranchs here are fantastic too, often found on the gorgonians. It’s a site that rewards a slow, observant dive. This place really shines on a sunny afternoon; the light plays beautifully through the water, making the colours pop. Suitable for experienced divers, as the depths can be significant and currents occasionally pick up.
