With 50+ marine species recorded in the area - including dwarf minke whales and jellyfish lake - DONNA offers some of Baltic Coast's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 1-17°C, warmest July, August, September.
Dropping down onto the DONNA, you're greeted by the ghostly silhouette of a sand barge, resting upright at 20 meters. She went down back in '73, reportedly due to open hatches taking on water in a rough sea, a reminder of the Baltic's temperament. We find her fairly intact, a long, low profile that’s easy to navigate, with her superstructure a good place to start your exploration. Look for the cargo holds, now home to clouds of small fish and the occasional crab scuttling across the sand. It’s a straightforward wreck dive, well-suited for those looking for an accessible piece of history rather than dramatic topography.
