REDWING - Tabarka

The Redwing is a deep dive, sitting at 55 metres off Tabarka. We love a good wreck, and this one has a real story behind it, believed sunk by a mine in 1943. It’s not just a pile of metal; the wreck still has a lot of integrity, giving you the feeling of dropping onto a ghost ship from another era. We’d suggest saving this one for a calm day, as even a slight surface chop can make the descent feel like an endless drop into the blue. Once you’re down there, the visibility often extends to 20 metres or more, letting you appreciate the sheer scale of the vessel as you approach. We’ve found huge schools of barracuda hanging just off the bow, and inside, the holds are often full of dusky groupers, big boys that don’t seem bothered by divers. Our favourite part is exploring the deck structure, where moray eels peer out from every crevice. It’s a dive for those comfortable with depth and looking for a wreck that feels genuinely historic and undisturbed.
