Paris 2 - Kas & Kekova

The Paris 2 wreck is a special one for us in Kaş. We love a good piece of history underwater, and this French cargo ship, sunk during World War I by Turkish artillery fire, absolutely delivers. Dropping down, the first thing you notice is the sheer size of her, resting upright on the seabed at 27 metres. Sunlight filters through the superstructure, creating these fantastic shafts of light that dance around the cargo holds. We always recommend exploring the bow first; the anchor chain is still draped dramatically over the side, and you can swim through parts of the deck structure. Keep an eye out for the resident moray eels peeking from crevices and the occasional schools of bream that hover above the deck. The visibility here is generally excellent, often pushing 20 metres, so you get a great sense of the wreck's scale. It's a surprisingly calm dive, perfect for newer divers looking to experience their first proper wreck without strong currents or deep penetration. Our favourite moment is always finning along the length of the hull, imagining the history etched into her metal plates.
