With 176+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and ocean sunfish (mola mola) - BRAEDALE (PROBABLY) offers some of Cornwall & Devon's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 10-18°C, warmest July, August, September.
Diving the Braedale is a proper Cornish wreck experience. You'll drop onto a scattered steamship, about 43 metres long, broken up by the heavy weather that claimed her back in 1924. We've found the stern section often still holds a good amount of structure to explore, with plates and ribs giving shelter to snaking conger eels and schools of bib. It’s a site for those who appreciate the history beneath the waves and the way the sea reclaims its own, best dived on a slack tide for a calmer explore.
