Andark Diving - Cornwall & Devon

Andark Diving, despite being based in Southampton, really shines for us as a gateway to the southwest’s often-overlooked diving. They’re a huge operation, a PADI 5 Star CDC, meaning they cover the full spectrum from your very first fin kick to instructor development, but it's their commitment to coldwater diving that we really appreciate. We’ve always found their team to be genuinely passionate, the kind of instructors who make you feel comfortable no matter what the English Channel decides to throw at you. We’d recommend Andark particularly if you’re looking to get serious about UK diving. They offer drysuit specialities as standard, which is a big plus – no shivering through your first few dives. While they don't have their own boat on every trip, they partner with some fantastic local skippers around Cornwall and Devon. We've had great days out to the wrecks of the Eddystone Lighthouse area, exploring the *James Eagan Layne* and the nearby reefs, where the plumose anemones grow to absurd sizes. Visibility can vary, as it always does here, but when it’s good, the light penetrating the kelp forests is truly something. Definitely chat to them about their local knowledge; they’ll point you towards the best conditions and the less crowded spots.
