CZAR - Cornwall & Devon
Diving the *Czar* off Cornwall offers a glimpse into a piece of maritime history, an iron steamship that met its end on Vrogue Rock back in 1859. The wreck sits at a manageable 19 metres, making it accessible for most divers. We find the broken sections of iron hull spread across the seabed, creating interesting nooks and crannies for exploration. Look closely and you'll spot plenty of blennies darting between the plates, along with the occasional dogfish tucked away in the shadows. It’s a good choice for a relaxed dive, especially if you’re keen on exploring an older wreck that’s now thoroughly integrated into the local seascape, rather than a fully intact vessel.
