EMILY - Cornwall & Devon
The Emily, a wooden sailing vessel that went down in 1934, offers a gentle introduction to wreck diving off the Cornwall coast. Resting at a maximum depth of 15 metres, it’s a good choice for divers looking for a relaxed exploration. While the wooden hull has obviously deteriorated over the decades, the scattered remains still provide plenty of nooks and crannies for curious blennies and small crabs. We’ve found conger eels tucked into what’s left of the larger sections, and the site attracts a decent number of pollack. It’s a low-key dive, best enjoyed when visibility is good, usually a few days after any big swells.
