FU-SIM-BA 2 - Cornwall & Devon

FU-SIM-BA 2 is a fascinating, shallow wreck we always enjoy revisiting. This little cruiser, just over 11 metres long, went down after a fire in 1981, settling upright on the seabed. Because of its relatively small size and easy depth, it feels incredibly intimate. You can easily circumnavigate the entire hull, peering into what would have been the wheelhouse area, now colonised by dead man's fingers and anemones. We love exploring the nooks and crannies where wrasse dart between rusty plates and small crabs scuttle across the deck. The light filtering through the clear Cornish water often casts a beautiful, ethereal glow over the structure. This site is perfect for photographers looking for an accessible wreck shot or newer divers wanting to get comfortable with wreck penetration – though we’d always suggest staying on the outside for your first few visits. It’s a great spot for a second dive, letting you take your time without the pressure of deep deco limits.
