    StandoutExceptional marine biodiversity

The Kylin offers a neat little dive for those exploring the Cornish coastline. It’s a small sloop, only 6.4 metres long, which went down in 1977 after hitting something submerged off The Needles. At a maximum depth of 15 metres, it’s an accessible dive, well within recreational limits. You’ll find the wreck broken up, scattered across the seabed, but still recognisable as a vessel. Shoals of bib and pollack often hover around the larger sections, and we’ve seen plenty of crabs tucked into the crevices. It’s a good spot for newer wreck divers looking for something manageable without strong currents.

    Safety Notes

Wreck site - avoid penetration without wreck diving certification. Watch for sharp metal and entanglement hazards.

Always perform a 3-minute safety stop at 5m before surfacing.
