LADY B - Cornwall & Devon

The LADY B, a former fishing trawler, sits upright at a modest 16 metres, making her an approachable wreck for most divers. We love her because she’s a proper, tangible piece of history, rather than just scattered debris. You can still make out the wheelhouse, the hold, and even parts of the deck machinery, all now draped in an incredible array of jewel anemones. These little orange and pink fireworks coat every surface, creating a vibrant, living tapestry over the rusted steel. Swim into the hold, if the conditions are calm, and you’ll find conger eels peering from the gloom, their thick bodies snaking between the ribs of the hull. We’ve often spotted dogfish resting on the sand nearby, and the occasional inquisitive wrasse will shadow you through the superstructure. Our favourite time to dive the LADY B is on an incoming tide, which often brings clearer water and a gentle push past her bows. It’s a genuinely evocative dive, perfect for those who appreciate wrecks with a story, without needing extreme depth or currents. Just remember, it’s a dangerous wreck, so always respect the structure and dive within your limits.
