LOUIS - Cornwall & Devon
The LOUIS wreck, just off Cricabello Point, sits in a very shallow metre of water, making it more of a snorkeller's delight than a true dive. What's left of this ketch, lost way back in 1905, is pretty broken up now, but you can still make out sections of her hull and scattered timbers. It’s a somber site, knowing two crew were lost here, but now it’s a living part of the shoreline. We've seen crabs scuttling amongst the frames and small fish darting through the kelp that has taken hold. It’s a good spot for a calm day, perfect for those who want to explore a bit of history without needing a tank.
