With 176+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and ocean sunfish (mola mola) - MISTY offers some of Cornwall & Devon's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 10-18°C, warmest July, August, September.
Misty, a cabin cruiser that went down in 1980 after catching fire, now rests in about four metres of water. It's not a deep dive, obviously, making it a good spot for newer divers or those looking for a relaxed second tank. The wreck itself, while small at under ten metres, has become a home for various crabs and small fish. You can fin around the remaining hull, noticing where the fire took its toll, now softened by a layer of marine growth. It's a quick, easy dive, offering a glimpse into how quickly a boat can transform into an artificial reef.
