Mullion Cove
Protected Area
The Lizard
Why dive here
With 176+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and ocean sunfish (mola mola) - Mullion Cove offers some of Cornwall & Devon's richest reef diving. Water ranges 10-18°C, warmest July, August, September.
Mullion Cove offers a sheltered dive, often a good backup when conditions are rough elsewhere on the Lizard. The entry from the harbour wall is easy enough, leading into a rocky seabed. You’ll typically spot wrasse, pollock, and plenty of crabs tucked into crevices. It’s a decent option for newer divers or those looking for a relaxed potter.
