Okay, so the Nab Tower. It’s a good shout for a first wreck dive, or if you’re looking for something straightforward off the south coast. The tower itself is a pretty imposing structure, essentially a big concrete block sitting upright on the seabed, surrounded by the remnants of its original anti-submarine net. We’ve found conger eels tucked into the crevices and decent schools of pollock circling the base, especially when the tide’s running a bit. At 21 metres, it’s well within recreational limits and generally has manageable currents, making it a decent option for newer divers or those who just want a relaxed potter around a bit of history.
