With 176+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and ocean sunfish (mola mola) - Porthkerris offers some of Cornwall & Devon's richest diving. Water ranges 10-18°C, warmest July, August, September.
Porthkerris offers a mix of reef and wreck diving, easily accessible from the shore. The reef slopes gently, with kelp forests giving way to rocky gullies that hide conger eels and dogfish. Further out, a few small wrecks provide shelter for crabs and wrasse, making it a good spot for newer divers looking for varied dives without strong currents.
