ROWAY - Cornwall & Devon
The Roway, a dredger that went down in 1967 after a rogue wave broadsided her, sits in a very shallow three meters of water. We’re talking snorkeling depth, really, though it makes for a relaxed dive if you’re looking to potter around. Her hull and superstructure are still pretty identifiable, despite the years, and it's interesting to see how the sea has started to reclaim the metal. You’ll spot plenty of blennies darting in and out of the nooks and crannies, and often some decent-sized crabs hunkering down in the shadows. It’s a good spot for newer divers, or anyone keen on a leisurely exploration without the deeper commitments.
