SABRE OF GOSPORT - Cornwall & Devon
The Sabre of Gosport is a smaller wreck, a speedboat that went down back in 1980 while on its way to the Channel Islands. Lying at 23 metres, it’s not a deep dive, making it pretty accessible on most days. What we find interesting about these smaller, more modern wrecks is how quickly the sea reclaims them. You’ll see pollack and wrasse darting in and out of the broken hull, a few conger eels tucked into any available crevice. It’s not a massive exploration, more of a focused look at how an everyday vessel becomes a habitat. Good for a second dive or if you're keen on finding something a bit different from the usual trawlers.
