SCHIEDAM - Cornwall & Devon
Diving the Schiedam is a real trip back in time, especially given its history as a captured Dutch flyboat that ran aground during a storm. At 12 metres, it’s a good depth for extended bottom times, and what’s left of the wreck really merges with the rocky seabed. You’ll spend your dive poking around hull timbers scattered amongst the rocks, often finding conger eels tucked into crevices and plenty of wrasse darting in and out. It's a dive that rewards patience and a keen eye, perfect for divers who appreciate history and the slow reclamation of the sea.
