With 176+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and ocean sunfish (mola mola) - Selsey Drift (the Parks) offers some of Cornwall & Devon's richest drift diving. Water ranges 10-18°C, warmest July, August, September.
The Selsey Drift, also known as The Parks, offers a gentle drift over a mostly sandy seabed. We often spot flatfish camouflaged against the bottom and sometimes spider crabs moving slowly through the kelp patches. It’s a good site for newer divers looking to practice drift diving in calm conditions, with a consistent depth of 12 meters. Visibility can be a bit variable here, so we always check the local reports before heading out.
