SHIRLEY BETTY - Cornwall & Devon
The Shirley Betty, a fishing vessel that went down in calm conditions back in '81, sits upright at 53 metres. It's a relatively compact wreck, just 11.6m long, making it a good target for experienced wreck divers comfortable with deeper profiles. You'll find the usual suspects here, plenty of wrasse and conger eels making homes in the nooks and crannies of the superstructure, with nudibranchs often spotted on the hull. We'd suggest checking the tides; even in calm conditions on the surface, currents can pick up down deep.
