SIDNEY H - Cornwall & Devon
The Sidney H, a former fishing vessel, sits upright at 32 metres, just off the coast. She went down in 1982 after hitting something unseen, taking her propeller shaft with her. We find her a really approachable wreck, mostly intact and a solid dive for those comfortable at depth in the UK. The stern section is particularly interesting, with the prop shaft housing clearly visible, and the wheelhouse offers some simple penetration if you’ve got the right training and conditions. Expect to find plenty of crabs tucked into crevices and small pollock darting through the superstructure. It's a proper British wreck dive, moody and full of character, best enjoyed on a calm day.
