With 176+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and ocean sunfish (mola mola) - SOLVIDA (POSSIBLY) offers some of Cornwall & Devon's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 10-18°C, warmest July, August, September.
Down in the waters off Cornwall and Devon, you can find the Solvida, a yacht that went down in December 1976. At only 15 metres, it’s a good one for those still building their wreck experience, or anyone looking for a relaxed dive. We’ve found conger eels tucked into the tight spaces of the hull, and often see pollock darting through the remains of the cabin. It’s not a huge wreck at just over 10 metres long, but there’s enough here to explore for a solid bottom time, and the local anemones and dead man's fingers add a nice splash of colour.
