With 118+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales, ocean sunfish (mola mola) and orcas - Ilios offers some of Northumberland & Northeast's richest diving.
The Ilios is a wreck dive off the Northumberland coast. We've found it offers a good training ground for those new to temperate wreck diving, with generally manageable currents. Visibility here can vary a lot, from a few metres to over 10m on a good day, so pick your conditions. You'll likely encounter cod, wrasse, and perhaps a curious seal on your descent.
