Menai Straights - Northumberland & Northeast

The Menai Straits offers a decent drift dive, often moving quite quickly with the tides. You’ll mostly see kelp forests and a good variety of temperate zone critters like crabs and wrasse tucked amongst the rocks. It’s a site for divers who enjoy moving water and don't mind a lack of big pelagics. We’d suggest checking the tide tables carefully to get the most out of it.
