ROSE MYSTIQUE - Northumberland & Northeast

Diving the Rose Mystique is a proper North Sea experience, and a sombre one given the history. This wooden-hulled trawler went down in a gale back in '57, taking her crew with her. What’s left today is broken up but still recognisable as a wreck, with timbers scattered across the seabed, giving you plenty of nooks and crannies to poke about in. We've seen some decent-sized cod lurking in the debris, along with crabs and lobsters making homes in what's left of the structure. It’s a site for divers who appreciate history and don't mind a bit of a current.
