With 177+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, bull sharks, dolphins, eagle rays and nurse sharks - Cueva de Pargo offers some of Cozumel's richest cave diving. Water ranges 27-30°C, warmest August, September, October.
Cueva de Pargo is a smaller cavern dive, tucked into the reef system. We've often found nurse sharks tucked into the shadowy overhangs, sometimes a Goliath grouper too. It's a nice spot for divers comfortable with overhead environments, a good introduction to Cozumel's cave systems without being too demanding. Just keep an eye on your buoyancy; it's a tight squeeze in a few spots.
