    StandoutExceptional marine biodiversity

Sleeping Sharks Cave in Cozumel is a unique drift dive, usually done as part of a longer reef exploration. We've often found several nurse sharks resting on the sandy bottom inside the overhead environment, a peculiar sight for sure. The cave itself isn't particularly deep or long, making it suitable for experienced open water divers comfortable with limited light and currents. It's a short but interesting stop for something a bit different.

    Safety Notes

Overhead environment - never enter without proper cave/cavern training, redundant equipment, and a guideline.

Strong currents typical this month (avg 79 cm/s). Good buoyancy control essential.
