The Brain - Cozumel
We head north for The Brain, often a less crowded drift than some of Cozumel’s more famous southerly sites. It’s a shallower dive, typically 12-18m, making it a good choice for newer divers or those who want a longer bottom time. The star here is a large, convoluted coral formation that genuinely resembles a human brain, surrounded by smaller coral heads and the usual suspects of Caribbean reef fish. Keep an eye out for green morays tucked into crevices and southern stingrays cruising the sand flats.
