Olowalu is a dive where divers can encounter blue sharks, sea turtles and sperm whales. Water ranges 25-28°C, warmest August, September, October.
Olowalu, on Maui's west side, is a gentle spot often used for check-out dives. The reef system here is extensive, with plenty of finger corals and small archways to explore. We've seen turtles and white tip reef sharks tucked into crevices, along with schools of snapper. It’s a solid choice for newer divers or those looking for a relaxed afternoon drift.
