Erg Abu Hashish - Hurghada

Erg Abu Hashish is a solid pick for a relaxed dive out of Hurghada. It’s got a couple of small ergs, or pinnacles, that are home to some really interesting macro life. We’ve spent a good amount of bottom time here just poking around the nooks and crannies, finding Variable Strombs clinging to the rock and the occasional Fleshy Peristernia. Keep an eye out for Payten's Codakia as well. While we wouldn’t promise a whale shark sighting, there have been recorded instances, which always adds a bit of magic to a dive. This is a site that suits those who enjoy a slower pace, focusing on the smaller residents rather than big pelagics.
