Jackfish Alley - Sharm el-Sheikh
Jackfish Alley, just a short boat ride from Sharm, offers a solid dive for when you’re looking for a bit of exploration without too much demand. We usually drop onto the reef top around 10-12m, drifting with a gentle current along a wall that drops to about 30m. The real draw here are the two small caves or swim-throughs, not really deep caverns, more like natural archways big enough for a small group. Inside, we often find sleeping whitetip reef sharks, and sometimes a few of those impressive pharaoh cuttlefish hanging out. Outside, keep an eye out for bandcheek wrasse and the occasional cowfish in the sandy patches. It’s a good choice for divers who appreciate a relaxed pace and a chance to poke around some interesting rock formations.
