Ras Za'atar - Sharm el-Sheikh

Ras Za'atar often gets overshadowed by its flashier neighbours, but we've always found it a solid choice for a relaxing dive. The reef here, particularly the northern face, drops away gently, making for an easy drift when the current is mild. You'll likely spot plenty of Red Sea clown surgeons darting around, and we’ve had good luck with bandcheek wrasse in the shallower sections. Keep an eye out for cowfish tucked into the coral; they're always a treat. It's a site we'd suggest for divers wanting a pleasant, unhurried exploration rather than a high-octane pelagic hunt, though dolphins do make an appearance occasionally.
