Dibsel Island - Port Sudan & Sanganeb

Dibsel Island, often a quieter stop on a Sanganeb itinerary, really delivers if you’re looking for those wider blue encounters. The coral gardens here are in excellent shape, a good mix of hard and soft, supporting plenty of colourful reef fish darting around the bommies. We’ve had a few trips where false killer whales made a pass, usually in the deeper sections around 25-30m, which is a proper thrill. It’s generally a relaxed drift, suitable for most divers comfortable with depths down to 35m, keeping an eye out into the blue.
