JASSIM - Port Sudan & Sanganeb

The JASSIM wreck in Port Sudan is a serious piece of history, sunk back in 1986 carrying a cargo of Toyotas. Forget those perfectly preserved wrecks; this one is an absolute mess, and we mean that in the best possible way. The sheer scale of the debris field is astounding. We love how the cars are still recognisable, crumpled and fused with the seabed, but the main superstructure is what really pulls you in. You're not just looking at a wreck here, you're exploring a giant, open-air gallery of twisted metal and discarded automobiles. Penetration is a definite no-go for most of it, but swimming through the gaps, seeing sunlight filter through the gaps where the deck once was, it’s magic. Keep an eye out for the resident barracuda patrolling the shadows and the clouds of glassfish shimmering around the deeper sections. It’s an epic dive for anyone who appreciates a proper wreck with a story, even if that story involves a few too many rust bubbles. Go when the current is mild; it’s a big site and you’ll want time to take it all in.
