Divers Down Dubai - Dubai & Abu Dhabi
The team at Divers Down Dubai are our go-to for diving in the UAE. They've been around since 2002, so they know these waters, and more importantly, they know how to make diving here genuinely enjoyable. We love their setup – they operate out of both Dubai and Abu Dhabi, which gives you flexibility, and as a PADI 5 Star IDC Resort, you know the training is solid. If you’re looking to get certified, especially if you’re thinking about going pro, their IDC programs are seriously good. What sets Divers Down apart, for us, is their approach to the diving itself. They don't just take you to the usual spots; they find the best conditions for the day. We’ve had some fantastic dives on the local wrecks with them – the *Cement Barge* and the *MV Dara* are always good fun, even if the visibility can be a bit variable. You might not get the technicolour reefs of the Red Sea, but there’s a surprising amount of life in the Gulf, especially around the wrecks. We've seen stingrays cruising the sand, barracuda schooling overhead, and plenty of nudibranchs if you slow down and look. They also run trips to Musandam, which is a great option for more vibrant wall diving. Book ahead, especially for weekend trips, because they fill up fast.
