Larak Dobe Wreck - دوبه مغروق لارک - Fujairah

We love the Larak Dobe Wreck for its sheer accessibility and how much life it draws in for such a shallow spot. Dropping onto the wreck feels like you’ve stumbled across an old toy box, tipped over on the seabed. It’s a dhow, clearly, a traditional wooden boat, sitting upright at just 8 metres. You can fin around the bow, checking out the anchor chain, then glide over the open hold, which is now home to schools of snapper and fusiliers. Sometimes, if you’re patient, a grumpy moray eel might poke its head out from under a plank. The wood is softened by time and encrusted with colourful sponges and small anemones. We’ve even spotted ghost pipefish hiding amongst the soft corals on the deck rails. It's a perfect site for new divers getting their first taste of wreck diving, or for photographers looking for a relaxed, sun-drenched dive. Visibility here is usually great, especially in the mornings before the wind picks up, making it easy to just cruise and observe.
